Reading in Malibu – Lisa of Troy

Check out my Read With Me – Malibu video! Grab your book and read with me in Malibu. The video takes place right on the balcony of a Malibu beach house where you can hear the waves crashing.

In the middle of the video, you can see me waving like a crazy person. In Malibu, helicopters are always buzzing overhead, but we always wave to the Coast Guard!

First, a word to the book community. A great big thank you! This is my first video in more than year. And what a year it has been! Two heart surgeries. Walking again. It has been a wild journey. Instead of training for a 5K, I started to read books. The book community carried me through such a challenging time. Your support truly means the world!

The Beach House

Should we take a look at the beach house?

We stayed at a magnificent Airbnb in Malibu with two apartments which included private beach access. This is the lower apartment, fully upgraded. This is also the balcony where I recorded my Read With Me – Malibu video.

It is common for helicopters to fly overhead including the Coast Guard.

We were also able to see dolphins from this very balcony!

The beach is an excellent place to build sandcastles, exploring the various ways to keep the sand together and different techniques. In the sand, there are various beautiful seashells.

The soundtrack of Malibu is the gorgeous sound of the waves.

At night, we were greeted by a clear sky full of brilliant stars. We also saw some lights in the distance (which appeared to be coming from under the water). Does this sounds like the beginning of a science fiction novel to you?

Malibu makes for an excellent place to relax with family and friends as well as curl up to a good book, a great respite to regroup, recharge, and to inspire creativity.

You can even Number #2 in style! First, the toilet lid was motion activated. It would proactively start spraying the rim of the toilet bowl. Then, you had buttons on your left about how you wished the toilet to interact with you. Your cheeks could be sprayed or dried. It is essentially the toilet of the Jetsons.

The Beach

Now, how about that beach?
